After the demise of Run Amok, I was bandless except for the solo acoustic songs I'd been writing and had no real plans until Dane contacted me asking if I wanted to play bass for his new project with Hayden and a guy he'd met called Ben. I'd always liked his progressive/punk/rock style and thought it would be fun to give it a try, and it was - they'd already written four songs but no lyrics, and from there we wrote two more, and I went back to the others and wrote lyrics. It was one of the most intense and interesting collaborative songwriting experiences I've ever had and just as we were starting to play shows, Ben injured his hip and was out of action for 8 months. After realising that finding a replacement was impossible, we decided that the band would just have to wait until he was better, and it did. In June 2009 we started jamming again and getting the band ready to go live again. We still have these two demos from when we first started the band, and the current plan is to use them to book shows while we record a six song EP over the next four months. back
